Challenge: #130 Tears

Title: Hell Has No Fury
Author: Annjej76
Challenge: #130 Tears
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Pairing: Webster/Liebgott

You see him on the truck, his head in his hands. You never thought you’d see the day when you’d see Joe show any emotion other than anger. You stop yourself from going to him and wrapping him in your arms. So you approach him like you would a wild animal. He looks at you with wet eyes, instead of anger he sighs.

“What the hell you want Web?”

“I just wanted to let you know I’m sorry.”

He looks over his shoulder and in a soft voice says “Yea, so am I.”

You wonder if this is your Bastogne.

Oh my God, I'm so glad you picked this scene. Seeing that vulnerable side of Lieb, then his put-on, macho what-the-hell-do-you-want front, and then Web being so tender...and the last line wrapped it up perfectly. Bravo!

P.S. Don't forget to tag over at the community, too! Never mind, you got it. :)

Thank you Hal. It's been a while since I've done drabbles. Hard to keep them to 100 words. Also anytime I join a new community it's hard to figure out the tags. LOL.

Glad you enjoyed my little drabble. :)

It's been a long time since I worked with drabbles, too. I don't think I ever enjoyed them as much as this, though. The possibilities are just endless. I'm so in love with this fandom...

You'll find that 100-word groove soon. Just keep writing and then all of the sudden, BAM. You'll get the rhythm and start churning those suckers out one after another. Which I sincerely hope you do, because I'm really liking these. :)

I couldn't agree more. Once you find it, it feels as if the story is so much longer than just 100 words because you can let the spaces speak for themselves.

Anyhow, I liked this one better than the other one. It's deeper and more intense and I can very easily imagine Webster trying to approach Liebgott like that, as well as the reaction back. The last sentence was strong in particular <3

Gah. The last line kills me dead. Such a beautiful/accurate portrayal of that moment. ♥

Thanks Impala! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Can you tell I was bored at work? I spent the whole day writing drabbles. This one just wrote itself, due to me just loving the episode "Why we Fight".

Oh my god, this is perfect. Lieb's defensiveness and then Web's tenderness and just, guh. Wonderful job.
